On a mission

I love this picture. I loved being able to spend time with these beautiful children. In Brazil, we worked with an orphanage and were able to love on these children. This moment started with me and my fellow friend sitting and just keeping some kids company as they played. More kids started to come out and we started talking with them, did some hair, took pictures and made the kids laugh. I felt like I belonged here. I just wanted to do life here forever. Missions isn't always about doing things for the public eye. Love is the greater mission, we preach the gospel of love. Our words don't need to be amplified by a microphone nor do our actions need to be recorded for the whole world to see. We should love in such a way that people can see Jesus, that's the bottom line.

I learned so much from this trip to Brazil because it broke the typical way I had done missions before. There was no stage, there was no church worship team or musicians. We just had ourselves, our voices, our love, one guitar and just people in need of Jesus. Everything we did was out of a pure place of loving others like God loves us.
